Woven Hempcrete Wall Fragment
To begin the final year of the Part II course, we were assigned groups to investigate the use of hempcrete blocks as a material for use in constructing a small wall fragment. Hempcrete is breathable, insulative and thermally massive, but is non-structural and not suitable for external applications, so required an external cladding (here of timber shingles) a timber frame, and wood fibreboard as a vapour check.
